Control and models
Choose how much Borg does, where it runs, and the model effort.
Choose how much Borg does on its own
You set this per thread. A new thread starts in Full access, with Plan first off. Auto. Routine actions run on their own. Risky actions stop and ask you first. Supervised. Borg asks before running commands and before changing files. Full access. Commands, edits, and access to files outside the project run without asking. This is the default, and it is shown in amber so you can see it is on. On mobile there is a fourth level, Auto-accept edits: file changes apply and commands still ask. Web and desktop do not offer this level. Approvals When Borg needs your OK, it asks in the conversation. You get Decline and Approve. You can also allow the action for the rest of the session, so it does not ask again for the same kind of action. Plan first Plan first is a switch, not an access level. Turn it on and Borg researches the job and proposes a plan. It can read and search. File changes are refused until you implement the plan. You can write feedback to refine the plan, or leave the feedback blank and implement it as it is. Restore files To get files back, open the thread action menu and choose Restore workspace from snapshot. This replaces the files with the newest sealed snapshot, after you confirm. It is available on web and desktop. It does not rewind the files to any earlier turn you pick.
Choose Borg Fusion and effort
You pick a Borg model family and an effort level. You do not pick a model by its vendor. The three families: - Borg Fusion for everyday work. - Borg Fusion Coding for code. - Borg Fusion Design for design. Effort has four levels: Low, Medium, High, and Max. Use a higher effort for harder jobs. One bill covers the family and the effort you choose. Borg does not tell you which underlying model served a request, and support cannot tell you either. If a result is not what you wanted, raise the effort or switch family and run it again.
Choose where Borg does the work
Your device is the window. Each thread runs in one of three places, and you can choose per thread. Local (your computer). Borg runs next to your own files. This is available in the desktop app. Cloud (Borg's computer). Nothing to install. It wakes up when you send a request and sleeps when it is idle. Remote (your other computer). Pair your desktop app once, then reach that computer from anywhere. What each client offers: | Client | Default | Also available | |---|---|---| | Desktop app (Mac, Windows, Linux) | Local | Cloud, Remote | | Web app (app.getborg.com) | Cloud | Remote, to reach your desktop | | Phone | Not available yet | - | The web app does not run work locally on your computer. Use the desktop app for Local.
